I was born right here in Humboldt County, first daughter to two Humboldt State University students. After graduation, our family moved away from the area and I spent most of my growing-up years inland, about 150 miles, in beautiful but HOT Redding, CA.

In my adult life, I’ve lived on the
islands of Oahu, Kauai, and Maui; in New Orleans, Louisiana and Palmerston North, New Zealand; and in both Eureka and Ferndale here in Humboldt County. I’ve attended school, working in cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels and on-board cruise ships along the way. Yet I seem always to return to Northern California after my travels; I feel at home in this community.

I am happy to be creating the first annual Camp Betty Campout, an event where women will gather to create and share their many talents and musical gifts. I look forward to seeing you there!
