Widely published as an essayist and poet and with a background in journalism, the Californian turned her attention to songwriting in 2001. Roberta Donnay produced her first CD "5 Acres" in 2003. Two songs from that release have since been picked up for inclusion on compilation CDs. "Answers" is featured on Mosquito Media's "Undiscovered Artists You've Never Heard Volume II and "Dream Me" is featured on the RockerGrl Discoveries 2004 CD and is receiving airplay on Radio Crystal Blue. 5 Acres is also receiving airplay on Good People Radio out of San Francisco. Deborah was a featured performer in San Francisco's 2004 Women on the Way Showcase. Workshop:
