Behind the Scenes - Tina Malia

Profile

Naturally blessed with a crystal voice, Tina Malia’s touching music and angelic presence have drawn devoted fans from coast to coast and around the world. Inspired by her roots in American Folk music, ancient Celtic modalities, Middle Eastern rhythms and mystical tones of India, Malia magically weaves sounds and prayers from around the world into a beautiful palette for her voice. Tina Malia has been compared to such legendary singer/songwriters as Loreena McKennitt, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Carole King and Sarah McLachlan. Malia's debut, Shores of Avalon, was voted #1 Vocal Release of 2001 by Backroads Music for its ability to "cast a spell on the listener."
